I have had to start again more than once.
Some of those beginnings were chosen, and some were not.
I spent five and a half years living in Canada and fully believed that was where my life was heading. When residency did not happen, I came back to Australia and had to work out what came next from a place I had not expected to be.
On that return, I built and ran a multi-award-winning gourmet cheese shop and cooking school that had grown to the edge of seven figures.
I loved that business. It had been a dream of mine for years, something I first imagined while I was living overseas.
I understood it. I knew how to make decisions, solve problems, hold responsibility, care for our customers, and keep moving when there was a lot at stake. Even through the ups and downs of Covid, we kept the doors open the entire time....and let’s not even get started on the supply issues of lockdowns and border closures.
Then the family relationships behind the business unravelled, and I found myself losing both the business I had created and the future I thought I was building.
Why work with me?
Human Design found me during that time, and at first I used it simply to understand myself.
I needed something that could help me make sense of why I was responding the way I was, why certain parts of the experience cut so deeply, and how to hear myself again when there were so many other voices in the room.
It gave me a framework when I did not feel like I had one. It helped me separate what had happened from who I was, and slowly begin trusting my own decisions again.
I did not come to this work because I wanted another system to master. I came to it because I needed something honest enough to meet me where I actually was.
Over time, that became the work I wanted to offer other people, especially those moments when the question you are asking is only one part of what is really going on.
Maybe the decision is about your business, but it is also tied to your relationship, your family, your identity, or the version of you that everyone around you has become comfortable with.
